Which kind of security assessment do you need?
This website security audit reviews configuration and known component risks. It is suitable for a site owner who needs a practical remediation plan. It is not a full penetration test, source-code security review or compliance certificate. If a customer or regulator requires a particular test, share that specification before commissioning work so the scope can be checked.
Define the evidence a security review can provide
A public check, authenticated configuration review and penetration test require different access and methods. Start with the decision to make, authorized assets and prohibited actions rather than assuming that audit implies unrestricted testing.
- Agree assets, access and stop conditions.
- Collect evidence with observation times.
- Prioritize findings by exposure and business impact.
- Assign correction and retest criteria.
What each access level can establish
Every finding needs asset, evidence, priority, action and verification method. Unknown areas stay limitations. Corrections, retests, load tests and exploitation need explicit approval and scope rather than being implied by the service name.
| Access | Possible evidence | Unknown area |
|---|---|---|
| Public URL | HTTPS and public responses | Private settings and backups |
| CMS | Permitted components and accounts | Server configuration |
| Hosting | Available logs and settings | Events outside retained evidence |
Example: record a vulnerable component without assuming compromise
A plugin advisory is recorded alongside version and exposure evidence. Its existence alone does not prove exploitation or compromise. This is an illustrative scenario, not a customer case or a promised result.
